Cellist, Nick Dinnerstein, will be performing a varied mix of classical music, amplified, with a loop pedal when needed. The works will include selections spanning from the groundbreaking and virtuosic Kodaly Sonata to Mark O'Connor's meditative Appalachian Waltz to a transcription of Moondog. The concert will also feature original compositions for cello and loop pedal.
Nick Dinnerstein is a local cellist: chamber musician, solo performer, orchestral and recording musician, teacher. He is the founder of the Lilypad-based concert series, Composer Focus, which centers around 20th and 21st century classical music. It has received recognition from the Boston Globe, Musical Intelligencer and other online publications.
