From the snowbound wilds of central New Hampshire, Jason Anderson has spent the last 15 years as an indefatigable DIY stalwart, quietly putting on the best shows you've probably never seen. An endearing songwriter and transcendent live performer, Anderson’s work is as anthemic as it is affecting.

More than a solo act, Jason has been a sought-after collaborator. He fronted power-pop weirdos Wolf Colonel, drummed with space rock heroes Yume Bitsu, played piano on David Dondero’s breakthrough album The Transient, was a studio and touring member for Mount Eerie's critically-acclaimed Black Wooden Ceiling Opening, and, most recently, traveled the world—and shredded on Conan—as lead guitarist in Strand of Oaks. Over the years, Anderson's own backing bands have included members of Dirty Projectors and Deer Tick, and he has opened gigs for friends as divergent as Kimya Dawson and Matt Pond.

Raw, soulful, and overflowing with melody, Jason's literate anthems would sit well on a playlist with, say, Okkervil River or Glen Hansard; what really sets him apart, however, is his joyous energy in concert. With the singular ability to make a basement feel like a stadium and a bar feel like church, Jason’s irrepressible charisma and participatory concerts have made him a sensation wherever he goes, earning friends and fans one euphoric gig at a time.
