Eric Hangen y La Ruta blend eclectic influences from Puerto Rican rhythms, American blues and gospel, and classical and jazz traditions to create a unique listening experience.

Vermont resident and pianist/ composer Eric Hangen debuts his album Real You Real Me with an all-star cast of musicians from around the globe.  Hangen studied piano at Berklee College of Music.  He lived in Puerto Rico, where he performed with Latin Grammy winners Celia Cruz, Andy Montañez, José “Cheo” Feliciano, and many other stars of the Puerto Rican salsa scene.  His new album, “Real You Real Me,” seamlessly blends the rhythms of the island with influences from jazz and classical music to create a unique sound that is both infectious and thought-provoking.
