Professor Ben Sher presents his all-star trio with fellow Berklee Professors Fernando Huergo and Mark Walker for a night of his Brazilian and Latin originals and arrangements of classic tunes.
Fluent in the tradition of Wes Montgomery and George Benson, Ben also draws for m the rich Brazilian guitar tradition Baden Powell and Joao Gilberto to create a wide range of sounds and textures” Ben a]has five releases on BGI Records including the highly claimed “Me Leva Pro Brasil’ featuring Lucian Souza and Kenny Barron.
Ben is joined by Mark Walker drums and Fernando Huergo bass.Mark is well-known for his work with Paquito D’Rivera, The Dave Samuels Caribbean Jazz Project and Oregon. Fernando is a fixture in the Boston and New York Latin Jazz scenes performing with Guillermo Klein y Los Gauchos, Dave Valentin, Leo Blanco and Fernando Brandao.
