Ginger Ibex

GI-LP-101819 w logo flat.png

Ginger Ibex makes use of strings, piano, and percussion along with a wealth of ethnic influences and selected classical chops to create a sound that is as hard to classify as it is beguiling.Pianist Sharon Crumrine's earliest influences were Beethoven and the Romantic & Impressionistic composers, plus Middle Eastern modes, Tango and contemporary Rock. Mezzo-violist Betty Widerski's eclectic background and creative & technical ability on a wild variety of stringed instruments give Ginger Ibex a powerful yet lyrical sound. Melika Fitzhugh's wide range of instrumental skills (including violin, guitar, percussion & bass) plus her love of Balkan music in odd meters make her ready for any musical style Ginger Ibex explores. Natalie Shelton-May's classical percussion skills inform her kit skills to provide the dynamic percussive range for GI's pieces.

Poor Eliza

poorliza.jpg

Poor Eliza engages audiences with her intimate vocal vibrato and dynamic songwriting. Inspired by the haunting melodies of songwriters like Damien Rice and Kathleen Edwards, uses her lyrics to challenge her sense of self, how she is perceived, and the disappointments surrounding identity. Poor Eliza has released two collections of music including a debut album The Wrong Thing (released under Bitch Trifecta) and Ghost Town EP. In 2018 Poor Eliza went on 40-city East Coast/Midwest solo tour from Bangor, ME to Athens, GA. For October 2nd, Poor Eliza will be Jane Park, Eric Landers, Francisco Morales, and Jonathan Keane.
