BASTN
BASTN is an innovator in the modern musical landscape, approaching the bass like a pianist with colorful harmonies, accompanied by exquisite melodic style. This bold combination arranges a three-way genre-transcendent marriage between subtle jazz harmony, the chocolate-box nostalgia of indie rock, and the hard-hitting delivery of alternative hip-hop. Out of necessity to deepen a lifelong musical calling, he dedicated several years to strengthening his skillset at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA – studying Contemporary Writing and Production, Songwriting, Jazz Composition, as well as Bass and Vocal Performance. He has experience performing and recording in various musical settings and genres including, but not limited to: progressive rock, neo-soul, pop, R&B, hip-hop, funk, jazz, and fusion. BASTN is the distillation of over a decade of diverse musical experiences, heart-on-the-sleeve dedication to social activism, and belief in the healing power of music. BASTN’s debut single, Exodus is a bold and emotional reflection on the current climate of the modern world and will be dropping on all streaming platforms in early 2022.
