Radamiz

If the soul could be translated, its imprint pressed into wax or reverberated through speakers, Bedstuy-born wordsmith Radamiz is the kind of artist who would dedicate himself to the pursuit of such a legacy. His music, an effervescent mix of sensitive poetic musings and the braggadocious wanderings of an expansive mind, leaves no philosophical stone unturned. Yet for all his complex inner-musings, the 29- year-old’s true gift is his ability to see himself in others, and then translate the unspoken dreams, fears, failures, victories, and litany of other emotions that swirl together to create the human experience. Since the independent release of his debut album, Writeous, in April of 2016–– which dropped three months before he opened for Nas at the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival in July–– Radamiz has continually carved a space for himself as a multi-disciplinary architect who simply wants to revel in the joy of creation.

Kidd Revel

As I continue to move forward and take steps toward my goals a lot of things become much more apparent. People I thought were there for me weren’t, people that grew distant came back into my life stronger than ever, and people that ignored me and blew me off for years suddenly have an interest in what I got going on. It’s hard for me to look around and say I can trust every face I see. I can’t. But what I can see is how many of you guys show genuine love and support to me and my art, and how quickly this family has been growing over the past few months. To me, this family is all that matters. F**k the fake love, the hate, and the doubters. All the s**t I deal with on a daily basis becomes worth it when I get to drop these projects for you and see you connecting to the music. When I say nothing on this planet makes me happier, I f**king mean it.
