Matt Savage
Pianist Matt Savage, who is currently on the faculty of Longy and Bunker Hill Community College, will lead his acoustic jazz quartet for a set consisting primarily of original music. The tunes, which combine post-bop intricacy with popular music sensibilities, will include many compositions from an upcoming album. This studio project was recorded this spring, and it will be Matt Savage’s first straight-ahead jazz album since 2016.

Virtuosity Music Collective
VMC - the Virtuosity Music Collective - is a collection of premiere musicians performing original jazz. Formerly the rotating house band for the Series at Virtuosity Music, the VMC has continued on with regular performances around the Greater Boston area. Steeped in a love for the jazz tradition, and grown in a deep connection between its members, the VMC is equal parts reverent and playful, scholarly and approachable.
