Songwriter/arranger, vocalist and pianist Peter Eldridge returns to The Lilypad, joined by songwriters Emily Sangder and Nora Meier.
Peter Eldridge
For years Peter Eldridge has remained at the forefront of both the singer-songwriter and jazz realms as a vocalist, pianist, composer, and arranger. Eldridge is also a founding member of internationally acclaimed vocal group, New York Voices and the contemporary vocal ensemble MOSS. Another notable collaboration includes a recent recording with Kenny Werner: Somewhere, an intimate and sophisticated session of ballads that capitalizes on Eldridge’s warm baritone encased by orchestral strings and his latest schizophrenic assembly of originals in his digital release: My Museum.
Emily Sangder
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Emily Sangder knew that she wanted to make music that feels the way being outside makes you feel: cherished, authentic, and vulnerable. Emily has spent a lot of time in nature focusing on what is really going on around her, and helping her to realize the things that matter the most. Her lyrics come from a place of hope and heartache, brought to her by her past adventures. Her melodies bring you to beautiful places, and make you desire to hear more. Whether it’s a long drive home or a walk through the wilderness, Emily hopes that her songs can bring you some much needed peace and understanding.
Nora Meier
Nora Meier grew up in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by her parents’ expansive vinyl collection and a lot of trees. Since 2017 she has been releasing her original material with musical inspirations that range from Billie Holiday to Joni Mitchell and Wilco. In their review of her EP, With Time, Divide and Conquer writes that Meier has “a magical combination of the deep, rich tone of Fiona Apple, and the jazzy, melodic playfulness of Melody Gardot.” She is currently studying at The Berklee College of Music in Boston.
