The Berklee Strings Takeover features two genre-defying student ensembles from the strings department playing an extremely wide range of styles and genres including metal, math rock, folk/roots, classical, alt rock, funk and jazz, all on traditional acoustic string instruments- come check it out! Featuring performances by Honeyjaw and the Berklee Contemporary Cello Ensemble.
Honeyjaw is a group of Berklee students interpreting math rock and metal through the lens of roots instrumentation. They will be featuring songs by the Violinist, Kemedy Hauser, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Chon, and Tool.

Berklee Contemporary Cello Ensemble:
Led by Strings Department faculty member and cellist Jeremy Harman, the Berklee Contemporary Cello Ensemble defies genres and convention, performing an eclectic mix of music including compositions and songs by Villa-Lobos, A Perfect Circle, Soundgarden, Vulfpeck, Weezer and original arrangements by members of the ensemble.
