Boston artists Evil Felipe, HeadFirst, and Preston Lydotes come to the Lilypad on Sunday 6/8 to end off the weekend. Join us for a great mix of local indie/alternative rock!
Despite the misleading name, Evil Felipe is an all- female group from central MA, taking on a unique combination of indie, alternative, surf punk, and punk rock sounds. Formed back in 2016, the band began with sisters Ella and Maya Staltare along with Emma Bain. Eventually, they brought in Abby Rickert in 2021; the four remain the core of the group to this day.
With the perfect mix of nostalgia and fresh intensity, HeadFirst brings raw emotion to the forefront of everything they do. Featuring Siraj Husainy (bass, vocals), Coby Conrad (guitar, vocals), and Bima Wirayudha (drums), the trio comes together to mix the instrumentals of post-grunge with the hooks of pop-punk.
Bringing their no-holds-barred performances to packed clubs and intimate dive bars, their shows have always connected to people with a love for honest music. Fans of the Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Nirvana, and Blink-182 are enamored by their relatability and moved by the music.
Preston Lydotes is a Boston-born singer-songwriter with a folk-rock edge. The 22-year-old is a dedicated lyricist, producer, engineer, and arranger, boldly stamping his creative DNA into every part of his project. Lydotes has been releasing music independently since 2022 – Wrong, The Fallout, & The Critic In Me, & 5 to 9 are the first four singles off of his upcoming sophomore EP.
