Lilypad’s nextdoor neighbor, The Druid Pub in Inman Square—renowned for its authentic Irish atmosphere and live traditional music—is launching a new concert series spotlighting global roots music. The concert series will take place next door at The Lilypad, a cozy venue in Inman Square, offering an intimate setting for this special event.
The inaugural performance on July 29 features Grammy-winning Cajun artists Wilson Savoy and Jean Bertrand, celebrated for their work with the Pine Leaf Boys and The Band Courtbouillon.
Savoy, an accomplished accordionist, fiddler, and vocalist from Louisiana, has been instrumental in preserving and evolving Cajun music. Bertrand, a talented guitarist and vocalist, has been a key member of the Pine Leaf Boys, contributing to their dynamic sound.
Together, they promise an evening of heartfelt melodies and infectious rhythms that transport audiences to the heart of Louisiana's musical heritage.
