Boston’s Toluca Lake spent the last 2 years in and out of the studio writing and recording their second LP, "Through the Pines," a record released in June 2025 about living through life-threatening car accidents, moving across the country, and surviving childhood abuse. The throughline they found through their sonic history combined with the throughline of survival makes their most recent offering not only a clear representation of every record so far, but also a clear representation of the future and the attitude they've developed to persist.
Sonoa, from NJ, is touring the east coast this summer to promote their recent EP, "Treadmill." Their Deathcab-esque frontman and metal-influenced instrumentalists blend the heartfelt lyricism of early emo music with the punchy guitar riffs of alternative rock.
Weatherman is a North Shore, MA-based trio blending emo, pop-punk, and post-hardcore into a sound that’s melodic, unpredictable, and emotionally charged. Their latest EP, Old Blood, builds on the genre-bending energy of their 2024 debut Sponsor Me Tape vol. 1, pushing into new sonic territory while exploring themes of personal struggle, relationships, and societal pressure.
Kovatova is soft, melodic, angsty, pensive, and jazzy wrapped into one neat package birthed from the DIY scene of New Brunswick, New Jersey. KT is a band that formed out of a desire to express poems through song and art, and whose recorded albums capture transformative life moments for its band members. Amanda Leifer and her guitars now live in Cambridge MA where the essence of Kovatova lives on through her continued solo work and other musical projects.
