Tyler's NEW! Hextet blends appalachian old-time music, the blues, and free improvisation, using these elements to create spontaneous arrangements of traditional and original composition. This variaton of the NEW! ensemble consists of Tyler White - baritone and c-melody saxophones; Sylvia Khouri - trumpet and effects; Jin Lee - alto saxophone; Vince LaRosa - trombone; Zack Thomas - korg minilogue and effects; Chase Behar - upright bass; and Ben Fig - drums.
The Zach Cornell Quintet is the newest project featuring a new all star band playing brand new compositions. Inspired primarily by nature and the natural world the group's music seeks to embody the spontaneous and varied behavior of the world around us.
