Eli Leder and Brennan Sodano met in 2023 through the Berklee Aspire Program, and have since forged a strong musical and personal connection in the Greater NYC area. Tonight, they will present sets of original music and arrangements, with local Boston talent in their bands.
Brennan
Weaving realities together, drummer Brennan Sodano is a dynamic composer, storyteller, artist, and sound healer. Born and raised in New Jersey, he honed his craft from a young age by attending after school programs Jazz House Kids and NJPAC. Since moving to New York, he stepped into the shoes of a composer and bandleader while continuing to refine his artistry as a drummer, mentored and encouraged by mentors like Lenny White, Matt Wilson, Brandee Younger, and Joe Dyson among others. Brennan Sodano exists between sonic textures, crafting his modern visions while honoring the deep tradition from which he came.
Eli Leder
Eli Leder is a multigenre bassist, arranger, and composer from Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up, he studied at the Tri-C JazzFest Academy, learning essential skills and forming connections that he still calls upon today. Eli recently moved to the East Coast to pursue studies at William Paterson University of New Jersey, and has found himself working in a variety of situations both as a bandleader and sideman. Recent performances include Dizzy's Club, Green Room 42, and Nublu Classic. In his music, Eli combines a love for the American Songbook with other styles, including folk, pop, and rock.
