Orange Peel LIVE by MAME. - a Musical Comedy Experience

  • The Lilypad 1353 Cambridge Street Cambridge, MA, 02139 (map)

$12.50 tickets / 7pm doors / 7:30 show / seated

Join us for a live performance of MAME.’s album, Orange Peel, in full, and much more. Orange Peel is an album written by a queer elder emo engineer comedian who went to therapy - and you can feel all of that throughout. This album is a culmination of a year of learning, growing and accepting who you are. And toads and squirrels, of course. The band, MAME., consists of married couple Emily Mame and Furat. We will also have Nate Lamy on the drums! Opening up, we will have comedy by Steph Dalwin and improv by Riot Improv. All proceeds from the show will be donated to the Grace Church Food Pantry in East Boston.

MAME.

MAME. consists of married couple, Emily and Furat, who live happily with their corgi. The wrote a song about Eevee months into dating called “Hot Dog”. They wrote both “Hot Dog” and “Conversations with the Dentist” on the same night, starting their duo band, Sauce on the Side, recently revamped as MAME.

Emily Mame is the singer/songwriter of MAME. By day she is an engineer and by night she is a musician/comedian/creator/artist. She spent years focused on doing standup throughout New England and beyond, however, in 2025 took a step back to focus on improv and music and out came Orange Peel. She also has created several side ventures including but not limited to “Code Emily” her YouTube channel where she helps people learn to code and “Love is Blind: Sims Edition” - a series in which she created a spoof of the popular show with the Sims and voiceovers.

Furat Aziz is the guitarist, synth star, production engineer and mixing king of MAME. He has previously put out multiple singles under the band Wicked Games, with his latest being Toska. Furat has been playing guitar since his teen years and although humble - is an absolute musical genius. He’s written podcast intros, helped Emily with musical clips on her various ventures and so much more. He is currently working on several exciting projects with various other local musicians and taking guitar lessons with the lead guitarist of one of his favorite bands.
