a brand new series of afternoon ragas hosted at the lilypad, first saturday of the month!

we’re kicking off the series with a khyal recital by none other than our very own Shri Acharya Warren Senders, the Medford-based master vocalist, musician, guru and pedagogue.

Acclaimed as the foremost non-Indian performer of the beautiful khyal idiom, Senders lived in India for many years, learning the khyal style from master teacher Pt. S.G. Devasthali, a senior disciple of the great Gwalior maestro, Pandit Gajananrao Joshi. He has performed throughout the world, enrapturing audiences and critics with a unique combination of authenticity and originality.

Warrenbuwa will be accompanied by Shri Rajesh Pai on tabla and Shri Yash Barhate on harmonium.
