A collection of indie/folk/alternative singer songwriters sharing original music crafted outside of Boston. With a common passion for music, these four unique artists, Halfwayfrombackwards, We Are The Dirt, Cate Yoder, and Jace, embark on a journey with their show, "Far From Home."
HALFWAYFROMBACKWARDS
Halfwayfrombackwards is a primarily solo (occasionally collaborative) project created by Fredericksburg’s Dylan Cave. Influenced by alternative folk genres, he mixes his southern roots with his emo inclinations to create an experience meant to entertain and make you feel something.
WE ARE THE DIRT
Kassi is the lead singer of the band “Wearethedirt”. She writes emotional, heartfelt songs with a somewhat folk-punk & singer-songwriter feel and has music out on all streaming platforms. Performing solo, she will bring an intimate experience that just might make you cry.
CATE YODER
A double/electric bassist and guitarist from Richmond, Virginia, Cate Yoder learns about her environment through exploring, inventing, and performing a multitude of genres. After being established primarily as a bass player, she is currently diving into the songwriting indie folk scene with her band of talented women, performing in the Boston area. With airy melodies, detailed guitar, piano, and percussive elements, and bittersweet lyrics, she hopes share her experience of finding solace and comfort in a complex world.
JACE
jace is a singer-songwriter from Manila, Philippines whose music seeks to emulate the feeling of flipping through old photo albums.
