AMPHITRIO is an award-winning contemporary jazz trio from Bucharest, Romania, led by pianist and composer Andrei Petrache, alongside bassist Mike Alex and percussionist Philip Goron. The group performs original music that blends Nordic lyricism, Balkan rhythms, and modern jazz forms, moving between cinematic soundscapes and groove-driven passages, enriched by subtle electronic textures.
With three acclaimed albums (Points, Seasons, Timelines) and appearances at major festivals such as Budapest Jazz Festival, Jazz in the Park, Baku Jazz Festival, and JazzAhead (Germany), this tour marks Amphitrio’s first-ever appearance in the United States.
