YAFFA is a folk-soul jam band led by singer-songwriter Jenny Wechter. Moving from shimmering ballads about living waters to brassy rumbles about capitalism and ecstatic anthems of love, her compositions enliven and inspire.
Born and raised in the desert borderlands of El Paso to a family of Deadheads, and later finding her voice droning in India, Jenny writes songs of soul — prayer and protest braided together by groove.
Jenny (vocals, piano, guitar) is joined by Bryan Medina (bass, sax), Daniel Litrownik (trumpet), Jon Cohen (electric guitar), and Sierra Coe (percussion). Born in Cambridge, MA in 2022, YAFFA invites you into a journey of rhythm, reverence, and resonance.
