LeeL Love is War Tour :::: featuring Preston Lydotes and Mandy Rose Wolf

  • The Lilypad 1353 Cambridge Street Cambridge, MA, 02139 (map)

$10 / 10pm doors / 10:30 start / standing

This isn’t just a show — it’s a shared moment.

Join rising hip hop artist LeeL for a rare, intimate performance at the Lilypad, as part of his Love is War Tour. Known for his cinematic beats, emotionally raw lyrics, and genre-defying sound, LeeL invites you into the heart of his creative universe — one shaped by heartbreak, healing, and the stars above.

Opening the evening are two like-minded artists who also turn vulnerability into power:

Preston Lydotes – A sonic storyteller weaving confessional lyricism with layered, atmospheric production. If LeeL is hip hop in orbit, Preston is the static in the radio waves — emotional, urgent, and beautifully raw.

Mandy Rose Wolf – A vocal alchemist blending folk, pop, and dark electronica. Like LeeL, Mandy’s music lives at the edges — spacious, spiritual, and deeply human.

Expect a night of genre-crossing sounds, shared emotion, and unfiltered honesty — up close and personal.

LeeL

LeeL is a self-taught artist and producer based in New Jersey. His recent release, “Love is War II: The Heartbreak” highlighted LeeL's depth as not only a producer but a lyricist. With clear influences from Hip Hop icons like Drake, Wiz Khalifa, and Kid Cudi his moody lyrics and expressive vocals brings elements from Freddie Mercury and The Script. Since his first release in 2019, LeeL has built up a discography of 3 EPs, 2 full length albums as well as a handful of singles featuring NIKO, Gansett Music, Bri-C, Tosh, Rey Trxll, Adam Franklin, and DB On The Beat. LeeL’s passion for performance has allowed him to play in New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Rhode Island with his next stop at the NXNE Festival in Toronto, Canada in June 2025. LeeL brings discipline, intensity, and passion from his college athletic career and his love for space documentaries into every project and performance. A true genre bender that is taking Hip Hop into outer space and beyond.

“Reality” strikes a psychedelic, ethereal vibe, with electronic melodies over sharp hip-hop beats and a smoky, laconic vocal that sounds lost and searching for meaning.”

Mandy Rose Wolf

My parents taught me that something wonderful can result from something traumatic. I didn’t believe it until I was eight years old and almost died from a post-operative hemorrhage after a tonsillectomy. Ironically, that surgery allowed me to discover my voice, and I have been in love with singing ever since. In third grade, my parents noticed that I was having difficulty breathing while sleeping. Subsequently, I had to have my tonsils and adenoids removed. Normally, a tonsillectomy is a routine procedure with rare complications, but unfortunately, I was one of the exceptions. After a few days at home, I started hemorrhaging and was rushed back to the hospital. After two blood transfusions, I finally began to recover. When the swelling in my throat subsided, I suddenly had an overwhelming urge to sing! I went to YouTube and Googled “karaoke.” The first track that came up was the Star-Spangled Banner. Somehow, my ear guided my voice to the right notes. My parents came in and asked who I was listening to, unable to believe it was me singing! Soon, we realized that the surgery had allowed the power and richness of my true voice to ring clear. During middle school, my teacher asked me to sing the notes he was playing on the piano, and I answered them all correctly. He told me I had perfect pitch. At the time, I didn’t even know what that meant, let alone how rare it is. Since then, I have dedicated myself to growing as a singer, arranger, and producer, while also honoring the legacy of my grandfather, Richard M. Sherman. Now, in my final year at Berklee College of Music in Boston, I am preparing to start my career as a professional musician, wherever life will take me.
