The performance will feature original compositions and arrangements by prolific local jazz and jazz fusion composers and performers in the Boston area.

The Brosamer/Dong Collective

is a progressive jazz fusion ensemble led by Bailey Brosamer and Esther Dong. Their distinct voices merge to create a cathartic musical experience, with each composition reflecting their eclectic musical influences. The group’s sound emphasizes individual expression within a strong collective framework, allowing each musician the freedom to explore while building a deeper understanding of one another as artists and collaborators. The ensemble includes Esther Dong (erhu, composer), Bailey Brosamer (trumpet, composer), Shiri Wolman (clarinet), Monique Baldwin (alto sax), Daniel Baldwin (tenor sax), June Redmer (guitar), Peyton Griffin (piano), Lucy Southan (upright bass), and Lia Romano (drums). Together, their unique voices form the signature sound of the Brosamer/Dong Collective.

The LR Quartet

is a Boston-based, all-female contemporary jazz ensemble featuring Shiri Wolman on clarinet, Liv Clementine on piano, Noa Ben David on bass and vocals, and Lia Romano on drums. Together, their voices blend to create a vibrant sound that blends the grooves of Middle Eastern music with the rich harmony and improvisational spirit of jazz. Some of their recent performances include an appearance at Fenway Porchfest and the Post-Underground in Brookline. There is more to come on the LR Quartet’s Summer 2025 Tour including a show at the Shrine in Harlem, NYC and a show at the Regattabar.

The Brosamer Collective Big Band

is a large-ensemble that plays the original music of composer and trumpet player Bailey Brosamer.  Much of the music attempts to create beauty while still allowing the musicians to express themself as freely as they want to. Many of the pieces are between structure and freedom, exploring the possibilities of freedom as an ensemble comprised not only of musicians, but of individuals. After a recent debut just 6 days before One Last Goodbye, this will be the last show the Brosamer Collective Big Band ever performs in this configuration of prolific musicians in the Boston area!
