Bayge
Cyrus Baygents aka “Bayge” is a bassist and producer born and raised in Washington DC. He is currently studying Performance and Production at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and graduated from Duke Ellington School of the Arts as the Instrumental Department’s most outstanding student in 2023. Having produced his own albums of original music under the artist name Bayge, he has also recorded and performed across the US with various different artists across a wide range of genres. Jazz adjacent music with catchy melodies and collective improvisation are some of what to expect, pulling from his roots in jazz, rock and RNB music primarily.
Joaquin Garde
Guitarist, composer, and songwriter Joaquin Garde has been playing the guitar since he was 8 years old. Through various influences that he has continually absorbed through his music studies, he has come to be the musician that he is today. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California Joaquin realized his love for music early on. Starting on ukulele and eventually turning to guitar, he was raised in various youth music programs, throughout the city such as NTyme, The Colburn School, The Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center, and the Los Angeles County High School for The Arts. Through these various programs, he has had the opportunity to play at many esteemed venues such as the Hollywood Bowl, Catalina Jazz Club, and Thew Mint, as well as playing and performing with many esteemed artists such as Paul Cornish, Keith David, Gretchen Parlato and more. He has won many awards as a composer and a performer (Downbeat Magazine, YoungArts, Music Center Spotlight) and is currently continuing his studies at the Berklee College of Music with a full tuition scholarship. He seeks to continue improving on his art and to expand his worldviews, by befriending and collaborating with his peers, as well as absorbing the knowledge of his professors. Currently he is an employee for Royal Caribbean where he is part of the Freedom of the Seas orchestra, traveling in a cruise ship, while playing in musical productions, feature shows, and in other settings.
